We want your CrateTee apparel to look fresh and bold for years to come. Follow these guidelines to ensure the longevity of your custom-printed gear.

1. Printing Technology

We use industry-leading Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing. This process sprays eco-friendly, water-based inks directly into the fabric, resulting in vibrant, long-lasting designs that won't crack or peel easily.

2. Wash & Care Instructions

  • Washing: Machine wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors.
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low, or hang-dry for the longest life.
  • Ironing: Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron directly on the printed design.
  • Avoid: Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, and do not dry clean.

3. The "Vinegar" Smell

When unpacking a new shirt, you might notice a slight vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don't worry! This is a temporary fixation agent applied during the printing process to help the ink bond with the fabric. It will disappear completely after the first wash.
